Well, I'm impressed that it's even in the game, but...
The DHC-4 Caribou was first and foremost a tactical transport/air freighter (complete with a rear ramp), while in game it is modelled as strictly a passenger aircraft. It can certainly carry passengers, though in the real world the 30 seats are light weight folding utility seats and this is certainly a secondary role. Dedicated cargo aircraft which can carry passengers in a pinch do not seem to be within the spirit of the game, so it would make sense to just have a separate Freighter version, since the DHC-4 really should be able to carry medium cargo given you can literally drive a jeep into the cargo bay, let alone load palletized cargo directly off of trucks via the rear ramp.
A freight configuration would have a cargo volume of 32.5 cubic metres, and a max payload of ~3910kg with detailed range and payload figures found on page 14 of this manufacturer's brochure, though these figures incorporate a 45 minute reserve which makes me suspect that the current @MTOW range figure is basically correct.
The 30 utility seats configuration probably is not a realistic configuration for passenger service except under the most absolutely spartan of expectations. This would exclude a flight attendant, a bathroom, a galley, and anything resembling a comfort. The seats themselves, in addition to being folding, have a lot less structure to them than you would typically find in a ~30 seat commercial airliner (they weigh 9lb per seat, making them the actual minimum definition of a seat), and are almost certainly much worse than anything most of us who haven't been packed into a military prop/turboprop transport have ever experienced. A recommended passenger configuration with galley, head, baggage compartment, flight attendant and what would appear to be more consistent with a commuter airline seat than a folding chair gives the aircraft 24 seats. This configuration is a permanent installation (see pages 26-27, DHC-4A Brochure). There is also a 26 seat version without galley or toilet (p 8).
Though it has amazing STOL performance, various language from DeHavilland Canada suggests that a more realistic takeoff roll at max weight was 765m (p 29).
Turbo Caribou conversions exist using PT6A-67T (with among other things, payload improvements to 10,000 lbs), but are entirely after market conversions and are quite rare, and I'm not sure what the threshold for notability is for inclusion of a subtype.
